Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close procedures for ANZ operations.
- Prepare account reconciliations, journals, accruals, and bank reconciliations.
- Review and provide commentary on variance analysis for monthly reporting.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, calculate and process depreciation, and reconcile to the balance sheet.
- Support the completion of BAS and NZ GST returns, as well as quarterly and annual ABS surveys.
- Assist senior accountants with budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of the annual Expense Study report.
- Monitor and maintain cash flow requirements.
- Liaise with the regional accounts payable processing centre based in Hong Kong.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field, and currently completing a CPA or CA qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
- Proactive, motivated, and able to take initiative with a “can-do” attitude.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
