About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Platform and Governance Manager to lead the implementation, delivery and ongoing enhancement of enterprise-wide data systems and governance frameworks. This is a newly created, hands-on leadership role that will ensure the organisation's data is secure, reliable, and actionable across all business and operational functions.
With one direct report and close collaboration with the analytics team, this role is hands-on and strategic, reporting into the Head of Digital Applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and optimisation of enterprise data systems and architecture.
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks that ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance.
- Drive the integration of new data technologies to support evolving business and operational needs.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of data pipelines and infrastructure across business functions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align data architecture and governance with organisational objectives.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in data management, including leadership.
- Strong technical background with SQL, Python and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Proven experience with data governance, architecture, and pipeline development.
- Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work across business units.
- $160,000-$170,000 base + super
- Hybrid working model, 2-3 days onsite in Melbourne
