Platform Product Lead – Ecommerce
The Opportunity
My client is a well-known and trusted name in the Australian retail and FMCG landscape, currently undergoing one of the largest digital transformations in its history. As part of this strategic shift, they are moving from a brand-specific approach to a unified, group-wide delivery model, enabling the faster rollout of scalable, reusable digital solutions across all business units.
They are now seeking an experienced Platform Product Lead to join their Digital Platforms team and help shape the core capability set powering digital experiences across all channels.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the roadmap and prioritisation for core digital platform capabilities across multiple banners
- Work cross-functionally with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design scalable, reusable SaaS-based solutions
- Own product delivery for eCommerce features including product data, search, pricing, and customer account systems
- Define and standardise core data models (e.g. product, price, inventory), with flexibility for brand-specific needs
- Apply Agile delivery practices (sprint planning, backlog grooming, reporting) to ensure momentum
- Mentor and guide other Product Managers to enable strong delivery and innovation
- Proven experience in product leadership within complex eCommerce or platform environments
- Strong understanding of composable architecture, multi-tenancy, and SaaS-based design
- Skilled in Agile product delivery, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Exposure to GraphQL, data modelling, and domain-driven design principles
- Experience delivering shared products across multiple markets or brands
- Worked with regulated industries or enterprise-scale architecture
- Familiarity with financial or commercial data model standardisation
