As an Insurance Specialist, you will play a key role in assessing, managing, and administering insurance claims and related activities. As part of a small team, your responsibilities will span across claim administration, assessments, and payments, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage the end-to-end claims process, including disability, death, and terminal illness claims
  • Handle applications for insurance cover and underwriting assessments.
  • Address complex insurance inquiries and provide clear direction to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improvements in procedures, products, and processes 
  • Prepare detailed recommendations and reports for senior management and committees.
  • Perform administrative tasks, reconciliations, and system assurance checks.
  About You:
We’re seeking a candidate with:

  • Previous experience of  insurance and claims administration, ideally from a superannuation background.
  • Expertise in life and terminal illness claims processes, including definitions and investigation techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of superannuation and the ability to interpret legislation and trust deeds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
  • Problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
