ABOUT THE ROLE
As the PMO Manager, you will own the financial and resource management operations of an $11m PMO budget, overseeing 3 internal squads and 2 vendor-led squads. This is a senior transformational role, with a strong emphasis on PMO financials, budget management, resource allocation, and process optimisation. You will work closely with business owners and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment between budgets, roadmaps, and resources, while proactively identifying improvements and delivering efficiencies across the PMO.
DUTIES
- Manage end-to-end PMO financials including budgeting, forecasting, POs, and annual audits
- Oversee resource management across 5 squads, ensuring resources are aligned to the roadmap and budget
- Monitor squad performance, identifying where teams are under or over-utilised, and reallocate efficiently
- Run the new financial year process including detailed audit and budget review
- Challenge and validate financial inputs from business owners to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Prepare and present detailed reports, spreadsheets, and charts for steercos and senior stakeholders
- Ensure no errors in documentation, reports, or packs - delivering them ahead of deadlines
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and value in PMO operations
- Partner with stakeholders including Heads Of, Execs, and business owners to ensure strategic alignment
- Proven experience in PMO management with a focus on financials and resource planning
- Strong attention to detail - able to spot inconsistencies in numbers, charts, and reporting
- Demonstrated success in budgeting for large transformation programs ($10m+)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at senior and executive levels
- Experience in auto finance, loans, or similar financial services
- Background in scale-up or mid-tier financial organisations
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to own and deliver responsibilities end-to-end
