Senior Frontend Engineer – High-Growth Tech Business

I’m partnering with an exciting, fast-scaling organisation that’s redefining how products are designed, built, and delivered across multiple industries. They’re investing heavily in their technology function and looking to bring on a Senior Frontend Engineer who can shape the direction of their platform and play a pivotal role in the team’s growth.
This is a chance to work in a forward-thinking environment where you’ll be trusted with real technical ownership, while still having the opportunity to mentor, influence and elevate those around you.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking the lead in building and evolving modern web applications that are clean, scalable, and easy to maintain.
  • Making smart architectural decisions around frameworks, tools, and libraries to ensure the frontend is future-proof.
  • Improving performance and user experience by identifying bottlenecks and fine-tuning everything from caching strategies to state management.
  • Acting as a go-to technical leader within the squad – running code reviews, setting engineering standards, and supporting more junior team members.
  • Working hand-in-hand with design and product teams to deliver interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and high-quality.
  • Keeping on top of emerging technologies and championing best practices to keep the team sharp and the product ahead of the curve.
  Skills:
  • Solid background in frontend engineering (5+ years commercial, 10+ years overall in tech).
  • Expert-level knowledge of React, Next, TypeScript JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong track record of architecting complex frontend systems and integrating with APIs using GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker).
  • Deep understanding of performance tuning, accessibility, and testing best practices.
  • Experience with component-driven development and micro-frontend approaches.
  • Excellent communicator with proven experience in agile, cross-functional teams.
  • A natural mentor who enjoys supporting others and raising the bar technically.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Exposure with  progressive web apps.
  • Worked with design systems or built component libraries.
  • Experience in WebAssembly, WebSockets, or other cutting-edge browser technologies.
Commercials:
  • 4 days a week in their office in the Sydney CBD
  • Salary: $150-$170K + Super + ESOP
  • Immediate Start
