Are you an experienced audit leader looking for your next opportunity within the superannuation sector?

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Internal Audit to join a leading, values-driven organisation in a key leadership role.
 

As Senior Manager, you will oversee the delivery of a risk-based internal audit plan, providing independent assurance and insights to senior stakeholders. You will lead a small, high-performing team, engage directly with executives and the Audit & Risk Committee, and contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the internal audit program aligned to strategic objectives and regulatory expectations (including APRA prudential standards).

  • Manage and develop a team of audit professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

  • Provide independent, actionable advice to senior management and the Board.

  • Build strong relationships across the business to promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.

  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks impacting the superannuation sector.

  • Contribute to broader risk and compliance initiatives as required.



About You:

  • Extensive internal audit experience, with proven leadership capabilities, ideally within superannuation, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Deep understanding of APRA regulations, superannuation industry practices, and risk and control frameworks.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide strategic insights at executive and Board levels.

  • Relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, or similar, with tertiary education in finance, accounting, risk management, or a related discipline.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for promoting good governance.
