About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong data, reporting, and regulatory/compliance expertise to join a high-impact transformation program within the insurance domain. You’ll work across multiple data and reporting workstreams, defining business needs, designing data prefill capabilities, and identifying the right data sources to support business, regulatory, and customer outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to become the go-to BA for data and reporting in insurance, ensuring complex business and compliance requirements are clearly translated for design and delivery teams.
What to Expect
- Lead requirements for business, operational, regulatory, and compliance reporting
- Define and document data prefill and data quality needs across insurance and customer applications
- Identify and recommend fit-for-purpose data sources for analytics, insights, and compliance reporting
- Translate complex business and regulatory needs into clear, actionable functional requirements
- Work closely with data, technology, and risk teams to support governance and regulatory alignment
- Collaborate across multiple transformation workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data, reporting, and regulatory/compliance initiatives
- Strong understanding of insurance or financial services environments
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation, profiling, and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into technical and data-driven solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- Background in large-scale transformation programs
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and regulatory compliance (e.g., APRA, ASIC, privacy obligations)
- Independent, proactive, and confident managing senior stakeholders
- Data/Technical BA background highly advantageous
